Tea and Coffee Storage Boxes
Tea and coffee both begin losing quality the moment their packaging is opened. The collections
Cote d’Azur is the brightest of the sets, in blue, turquoise and orange coral, and works well as a trio on an open shelf.
Amami in blue and white is the quietest design in the range, and matches the Amami porcelain infusion mug if you want the set to read as a set.

How to store tea and coffee in the UAE
Keep it opaque and closed. Clear glass jars look attractive but let light degrade the contents. If you already own glass jars, keep them inside a cupboard.
Never refrigerate. This is the most common mistake made with coffee. Each time a cold container is opened in a warm kitchen, condensation forms on the contents. Moisture is the fastest route to stale coffee, and the fridge also transfers odours from everything around it.
Store away from heat sources. The cupboard above the hob is convenient and is the worst place in the kitchen for tea and coffee. Choose a cupboard or counter position away from the stove, the oven and direct sun through a window.
One tin per product. Tea absorbs neighbouring aromas readily. A jasmine green tea stored where a smoky black tea was previously kept will pick up the smoke. Dedicate each tin to one product, and if you rotate, wipe the tin dry and let it air rather than washing it with scented detergent.
Buy in sizes you will finish. Whole beans hold their character for roughly four weeks after opening, ground coffee for days rather than weeks.
