The practical advantage of glass is visual. Green and white teas turn bitter quickly, and colour tells you when to pour more reliably than a timer does when you are working with an unfamiliar leaf.
Cast Iron Teapot
The Teapot Blue Cast Iron (850ml, AED 190) is the heat retention choice. The interior carries a protective enamel layer that prevents oxidation, and an integrated 18/10 stainless steel filter lets you brew leaves directly in the pot and pour a clean cup with no residue. The embossed star pattern draws on Japanese craftsmanship and sits against a soft blue patina.
Cast iron holds temperature for far longer than glass, which makes this the pot for a long unhurried session or for a pu erh that improves across several infusions. Care is specific and worth following: do not put it in the dishwasher or the microwave, rinse it with warm water and no detergent, then dry it thoroughly so the surfaces stay in good condition.
The French Press as a Dual Purpose Carafe
The French Press Coffee Maker (600ml, AED 150) is listed here as well as under coffee accessories because it works for both drinks. For coffee, coarse grounds steep for around four minutes before you press. For tea, whole leaves circulate freely in the full volume of the carafe and the plunger separates them the moment the infusion is right. If you drink both and have limited counter space, this is the single most useful piece in the range.

Serving sizes in the Gulf tend to be smaller than 200ml, closer to 120 to 150ml, so an 800ml pot may stretch to five or six of those servings. If you are brewing for a group, a herbal blend or a cold brew tea prepared in the 1 litre pot in advance is easier than refilling a smaller one twice.
Rinse glass teapots straight after use, while any tannin film is still soft. If a brown ring has already formed, warm water with a little bicarbonate of soda lifts it without scratching. Never place a teapot on a stovetop or an open flame unless the product page explicitly says it is designed for it. These are brewing vessels, not kettles, so heat the water separately and pour it in. Preheating the empty pot with a splash of hot water improves temperature stability. If your teapot has no built in filter, a paper filter or steel infuser will work in any of them.
