Premium Tea Bags
Most tea bags are filled with dust and fannings, the fragments left after the good leaf has been graded out. That is why supermarket tea tastes flat and turns bitter if you leave the bag in. Cantata’s tea bags are filled with the same graded blends we sell as loose leaf, portioned into sachets so you get convenience without giving up the cup.
Each box holds 15 sachets and is priced at AED 39. The range covers classic black tea, Japanese and Chinese green tea, scented and flavoured blends, and caffeine-free fruit infusions, which means one order can cover an entire household or office pantry with different preferences.

Black tea bags
Ceylon Pettiagala OP Black Tea Bags is the straightforward morning tea in the range. OP is an orange pekoe grade, meaning long, whole leaf rather than broken particles, and the Pettiagala estate character is brisk and clean. It takes milk well and does not collapse into astringency if you are slow to remove the bag.
Earl Grey Flowers Black Tea Bags adds bergamot and floral petals to a black base. It is the version of Earl Grey that smells like citrus peel rather than perfume, and it works equally well hot or poured over ice.
Green tea bags
Sencha Green Tea Bags brings the Japanese steamed-green profile, grassy and marine with a clean finish, into a format you can brew at a desk. It is the natural first green tea for anyone stepping away from black.
Jasmine Mao Feng Green Tea Bags uses a Chinese Mao Feng base scented with jasmine blossom, which produces a softer, sweeter cup than sencha and pairs well with lighter food.
Apricot and Flowers Green Tea Bags is the fruit-forward option in the green category, with stone fruit sweetness over a mild green base. It is a good bridge for people who find plain green tea too austere.

Caffeine-free infusions
Infusions contain no tea leaf and therefore no caffeine, which makes them the after-dinner and late-evening choice.
Berries and Candy Fruit Infusion Bags is sweet, red-fruited and reliably popular with children and with anyone cutting caffeine. Multivitamin Infusion Bags is the brighter, more citrus-driven infusion in the range. Mint Green Tea Bags sits in between, with mint over a green tea base, and is the closest thing in the collection to a Maghrebi-style mint tea in sachet form.

How to brew a tea bag properly
The single most common mistake is water temperature. Boiling water scalds green tea and turns it bitter within thirty seconds.
| Type | Water temperature | Steeping time |
|---|---|---|
| Black tea | 95 to 100 C | 3 to 5 minutes |
| Green tea | 75 to 80 C | 2 to 3 minutes |
| Fruit infusion | 100 C | 5 to 8 minutes |
Cover the cup while steeping so aromatic compounds condense back into the tea rather than escaping. Remove the bag when the time is up instead of leaving it in, since tannins continue to extract and turn the cup harsh. Do not squeeze the bag against the side of the cup, which forces bitter compounds out of the leaf.
Tea bags or loose leaf?
Tea bags win on speed, portion control and portability. Loose leaf wins on leaf quality range, on repeat infusions, and on cost per cup at higher volumes. Most regular tea drinkers end up keeping both: bags at the office and in the travel bag, loose leaf at home for the morning and the weekend.
If you want to move to loose leaf, start with classic tea and a simple infuser from the tea accessories range. If you want cold drinks, the cold brew tea range is formulated to steep in cold water without becoming bitter.
